[Local] New Years Eve's Plans?
Dec. 4th, 2006 03:11 pmHey Local Folks, What's doing?
Anyone got anything interesting going on for New Year's Eve? K and I are looking for places to go/things to do. We did First Night: Alexandria last year and were slightly less than super-impressed.
So... who's doing what for New Year's Eve and is anyone looking for a tagalong or two? ;)

Date: 2006-12-04 10:01 pm (UTC)I'll be spending quite a bit of time with the women I barely know in the next few years and they aren't from work so there's no potential for major social faux pas.
I do have some reservations about spending New Year's with mostly strangers, but if I go to any party, I'll be doing that and this kind of big shindig will have more breathing room than a party at a friend's place and lots more dancing.
I also have some reservations about making NYE plans without consulting my boyfriend, but he's still not sure what his work schedule at Christmas looks like. Besides, I'm sure one of his friends will be hosting one of those big NYE parties full of strangers in a too-small house so even if he's here for the weekend, he won't be lacking things to do while I'm out.
And then there's the reservation about going along on a single women's night out without actually being single. Given that the single me and the taken me without my partner will behave exactly the same, I don't think this is a terribly big deal.
