Well, I'm currently on my work computer while the POM model runs in the background. It was actually run on Friday, but it ran out of disc quota (gleep) so I deleted a few things and am running it again now.
While waiting for the program to run, I thought I'd take this opportunity to post. It's been a couple of days anyways.
In good news, the Buffalo Bills have a new starting quarterback (at least I'm assuming so). You may have heard of him (especially if you're from around Boston). His name is Drew Bledsoe. Apparently, New England finally traded him to us for next year's first round draft pick. I'd say, all in all, it's a good trade. We got a GOOD starting quarterback (I didn't like Johnson. Most of Buffalo didn't.) that the city can stand behind (Bledsoe is a mensch as well as a great QB) and New England, who already has a great QB (Tom Brady) gets our next year first round draft choice. So that's the happy happy news in Buffalo.
The less than happy news is that it's snowing. Most of last week it was Sunny and in the 70s and 80s and now it's snowing. I despise Buffalo weather :P
So, it was my mom's birthday yesterday. I'm not sure how old she is now and I wouldn't tell y'all anyways (she's sensitive about these things), but I think she had a good one. We made her breakfast in bed (eggs and toast) and brought her up her first present.
This, I'd like to start with, was all Josh's idea. The ORIGINAL idea was to find Bandit, put a bow on him, put him in a box and give THAT to mom. But A) Bandit won't even wear a COLLAR forget a bow and B) I'm sorry you ain't getting NO Cat into a box unless that cat WANTS to be in the box. Period. So, after much chasing of cats, we ended up cornering the Mouse, putting a ribbon around HIM and giving him to mom, who thought it was too cute and had me try to take a picture of it.
Then we gave her our REAL present which was what she'd asked for (the one thing about our family is that we tell each other what we want. It takes away from the surprise aspect, but at least we always like what we get.), a gift certificate to the mall.
Then we did our chores and I went to the gym and grandma went to lunch with mom.
We came home tired (I'm STILL tired. Having gotten darn near no sleep Friday, I've been exhausted all weekend, though I suspect part of it is NOT physical exhaustion but a sort of mental exhaustion from the effort put forth to pass the EIT (Hopefully) ) and mom had to call Marc.
Quick rewind.. Marc had come over Saturday night to drop off his present.. three roses and ask what mom's plans for tommorow were. As mom had no plans, Marc ORIGINALLY had planned to go to dinner with her yesterday, but ended up having to work.
So we get home and Marc called to say he skipped work and wanted to have dinner with mom. I tell mom that I can't go, I need to work on my design project (which took me most of the evening to do.) and mom called back to say she really was tired and wanted to take a nap. So she cancelled that.
However, tonite, as neither Josh nor I are working tonite (not that i often have to work at night.), Josh and I are taking mom out to dinner. Our treat. I don't know where we are going yet. That's up to mom to decide.
What else?
I'm thinking of seeing a movie soon. Maybe today. Maybe wednesday. What movie? Big Trouble.
As soon as you may know, it's based on a book by Dave Barry, which I bought recently and read very quickly. The book is VERY amusing (there is no doubt in my mind that it WAS Dave Barry who wrote it. It SHOWS.), and since I enjoyed the book so much, I'd like to go out and see the movie.
Like I said, maybe after class today.
Other than that... not much. Finals are in two weeks (not that I have any, but final projects and presentations due then) and I'm going to Winnipeg, Manitoba in just over a month for another conference.
That's about it.
Talk to y'all latahz.

Actually, given that I'll have no car and don't exactly know my way around Winnipeg, I'm rather hoping you'll come and pick me up/visit ME for.. whatever time we can when I'm up there.

Unless I work that evening, it shouldn't be a problem. I'll talk with Jill about it and then when you know exact times/dates we'll get the ball rolling. Woo!

Like I said on Chaotic. I don't have details yet. When I do, I'll post them, OK? :)
