I really ached yesterday, especially around the stitches on my right side. I suspect I maybe overdid it a bit this weekend. Either that or just all the activity of trying to life my life "normally" is just.. alot of activity.

Or.. who knows what else? They aren't sharp pains, pains that feel like something BAD is happening, just dull pains.

I dunno.

I'm looking forward to getting back to full healh again. I want to ramp up the activity a bit and try to get back into the gym. I want to try to get back into shape before Freestyles. Losing some weight might be nice too, but definitely the in shape part...

Not a whole lot else to say, unless you want to hear about my Sims 3 whine. Eh. Why not?

There's.. conflicting knowledge on whether or not The Sims 3 will come out on time. The official site removed the "Comes out February 20" note on the site, as did the EA store, but.. there's no other date and calls to the company itself.. have gotten conflicting answers. Some calls, the answer is "No, February 20th." Others say "We're reconsidering when it will come out."
I'll be annoyed if it's delayed, but... on the other hand, if they're fixing bugs, I'd deal. Mostly, I just wish I KNEW. Is it on time or is it not?

That's.. all I've got going on for today.

Capitol Steps was good. :) There was a fair amount of repeat songs, a few songs with a few different words ("Beginner Takes It All" included lines, this time, about 'that Plumber Joe' and 'My Friends' *amuse*) and some never before seen songs.

Some songs.. they really really really REALLY need to take out of circulation. The Supremes' Song, "Stayin' Alive" just HAS to go. It was cute a few years back. Now it's overused (I've seen it four times in 3 years) and anyways no longer the point with Obama president-elect.

But they had some GREAT new Material (Seeing Putin, Medvedev and.. some unknown third person dancing around, clapping their hands, etc.) to "Midnight Raid to Georgia" had me nearly rolling along the floor laughing. It was AWESOME! :D

Though Tina Fey does a much better Palin then the Capitol Steps does. (The Capitol Steps performer kept dropping her accent. Though.. how she was going to deal with foreign powers like Russia... also left me rolling along the floor (she whipped her hair out of the bun, and started running her hands down her body. Then... THEN.. to show that Biden knows how to play the game, he, too, started running his hands around his body. Oh my god, it was funny.)

So.. all in all, a great show! :D

Studying.. is going along. I did a lot on Saturday, a little on Sunday and will do a little more Wednesday. It's tough.. and I'm really struggling with the questions, but.. I'm also probably learning too.
I had a nightmare Saturday, though, that the test was five weeks ago and woke up freaking out (feeling kinda freaked out most of yesterday, really)

Speaking of the Presidential Candidates, I nearly died.. there was a Producer Event in Norway last week, and they released a couple of official videos. The first was a fight between Biden and Palin at the steps of city hall (Palin picked a fight with Biden, they fought for a while and Palin kicked Biden's butt.) and then.. a dance-off, I guess, between Palin and a less-than-adequate McCain. Which was.. mind breaking. :)

There are other videos from the Norway Producer Event, quite a lot, really. So.. some real details about what the game entails are filtering through.. and I'm REALLY impressed.

I have some less-than-lovely things to say about EA and some of the directions they've taken recently. Alot of the stuff they've put out recently has not lived up to expectations. Spore.. was.. OK. Just OK. It didn't deliver up to the hype it's still getting. Simcity Societies.. wasn't good at all. MySims.. crap. Simcity Creator.. crap. Not to mention that I'm not thrilled with the DRM software, SecuRom, they keep sticking on the games.
But Sims 3... clearly they've been LISTENING to their players. I have no doubts whatsoever that, so long as the game runs, that this game is going to deliver and will be better than Sims 2. No doubt.

In fact, i was obsessing to K about Sims 3, and kinda sad because I realize once I GET Sims 3.. Sims 2 will probably go away. K may play it, here and there, but.. it'll be like saying goodbye to an old friend. Sims 2 and I have been buddies for five years so it'll be sad to see some of it go. K points out it might be worth it to 'say goodbye' properly. :) So... I've spent some time and will probably continue to spend some time, when I can, playing Sims and living their lives out for them. :)

Which is good for my SimGod blog. It gives me something to talk about. :D

So.. *checks time* Time to get to work. See y'all at lunch. :)

As promised, a preview of the Sims 2: Apartment Life. This promises to be a pretty full expansion pack.

Clearly, one of the points of this expansion pack is.. apartments, finally! Your apartments can be as big or small as you want, they can be a one bedroom with heating pipes lining the walls and ceilings or a full townhouse. You can have up to four playable Sim Families living nearby, though I believe you can have more apartment buildings themselves nearby (guaranteeing some non-playable neighbors).

Where to start with apartment living. It's.. what you'd expect, mostly. Except the landlords are a little cooler than most. They don't care if you tear up the carpets and repaint the walls, so long as you don't knock any walls out or anything. Oh, and instead of once a month, rent is due once a week. And you'd better pay it too or the landlord might call the collection agency and they'll just come in and take your couch or bed to make up for the rent. :/

Though if you ARE having troubles meeting rent, well.. you could always get a roommate, right? Though.. that's a crapshoot all it's own. Maybe the roommate and you get along. Maybe the roommate is a foul sports-watching beer-swilling pig who leaves trash all over your apartment. Who knows, right?

There's also the usual joys of apartment living.. ie.. the neighbors. Maybe they're a relatively quiet group. Maybe they're up at 3 AM Blaring the radio. Again, it's a crapshoot.

Moving away from the joys of apartment living, there's a new meter now... your reputation. Your reputation moves up if you're nice and decent to other sims. It moves down if you're argumentative and nasty. There are benefits to having a GOOD reputation.. making friends is easier, rent might be a bit cheaper.. other reputed benefits as well. There are... "benefits" to having a bad reputation as well, I guess, if that's how you want to play.

They've brought back Magic as well, from Makin Magic. About 30 spells... some which might make life a bit easier for your Sim (put out fire, evaporate puddles). Some which might make life better for your sim, or other sims. Some which will make life.. well.. worse for other Sims. Depending on the kind of spells you cast, you can become a Good Witch, a Neutral Witch or a very very bad Witch.

As details go, that's all I have. Hopefully, I get my hot little hands on the game tomorrow after the gym. :)
