It was a GOOD weekend. I mean, it was really pretty darn spiffy weekend. I see
ecwoodburn has not posted about it yet (and she may not. She never posted about the weekend before it either), so I may as well... and yesterday and today too, while I'm at it. :)
Friday
Friday was pretty quiet. Kristen got here at about 6:30. We made dinner (Burgers).
The amusing thing about dinner was that.. at the Dork-a-Thon (as some of you may remember), Josh made the burgers and dogs. The burgers were... a little TOO well done and Kristen mentioned as such (privately to me, not to Josh) about how she could do a better job (and rementioned it again Friday). She took the spatula away from me to scoop the burgers up and managed to drop the last one down into the briquettes. Yes, she's MUCH better than Josh ;D *eg*
Anyways, we went out for a walk afterwards and talked about serious things.. us, other things bothering us.. mostly, though, the fact is we just talked and enjoyed each other's companies. It was good.
Saturday
Saturday, woke up semi-late (I was on the couch so I kept waking up as I WANTED To turn over and I couldn't.
Eventually, Kristen woke up and we ended up watching Chicago. I didn't want to see it in the theatres because the soundtrack didn't interest me. That said, I watched and enjoyed Chicago, so.. :)
After Chicago, went out for another walk in a path near UB I know, ran to be at her grandmother's house (who was really very cool), ran to go eat dinner at Homestyle Buffet then went to go see Matrix: Reloaded on the IMAX (Which I think I got more of the second time around).
Then we went home and .. well...what details to tell?
She was tired. I was horny. We started fooling around. She said she wasn't sure if she wanted to, but never specifically said no and I.. wasn't thinking with the right head. She ended up dissolving into tears and I ended up frustrated and unhappy. (Note to many if not all of you.. it's both good and bad that both Kristen and I are such strong empaths. Usually, it's not bad, but when one of us is really frustrated or upset, the other feels it.)
So, Saturday ended badly. Kristen desperately needed me to help stabilize her and I was in my own depths of despair. I ended up leaving and going to sleep downstairs. She tried to sleep and, apparently, didn't do so well.
Which leads us into...
Sunday
Sunday, I woke up to feed the cats and saw the light on in my room. I came in to see and Kristen was there, exhausted but not sleeping. I fed the cats and we talked a while. I held her and told her it was OK and basically did what I SHOULD have done Saturday night. She felt better and ended up sleeping a little bit before I had to wake her up to go to the beach.
The beach was good. It was the first beach day I'd had all summer. Kristen and I didn't do much but try to swim and go for a ride on my uncle's boat. We ended up leaving the beach early so Kristen could sleep and I could.. well, I didn't sleep, but I did close my eyes.
Dinner was good and my uncle's family were on pretty good behavior and nobody harassed Kristen terribly. Truth be told, she seemed to like the family dinner. :)
Then we got home at 9:00 and I suggested Kristen stay and she did.
Which now leads us to...
Monday
Kristen left Buffalo about 10:30 and I left right after her, running to work. Did some work for a while and left semi-early to attempt to sleep (and fail).
In interesting news, Kings of Chaos has been revamped (we are now in age 2) and while it's been broken apparently since around midnight (the server is running ultra slow and no one is getting any new attacks or moneys at the moment), I really think I prefer the new system. I think they fixed some of the issues with the old one and I think it will be an altogether better system once the bugs are fixed.
Ended up going to Media Play yesterday. Mom wanted a book. Josh wanted a CD and I had a $18.36 Gift Card to use. For lack of any better ideas, I looked into the new Guster CD. For $2.20, I now have the new Guster CD (Special Edition print with post cards and booklet and such). It's not bad at all. I need to check out the CD that
kareila suggested sometime in the near future.
Josh went to get his car extended (the evil Daewoo from hell) and it failed. Apparently the Brake Pads and.. some other part, I can't remember which.. were busted. The guy who inspected the car (the guy who got the dent out of my car) got everything but the Brake Pads which hopefully he has by about now. Josh is really really pissed at his father for sticking him with this POS car he's driving and never being in town when it breaks down (Dad isn't in town much at all)
And since Josh's car is currently out of service (again), that means that...
Today
I had to drive mom to my grandmother's house at 6:45 in the bloody morning.
The cats woke me up at 4:30. So I stayed up to 5:30 playing SimCity 4 (started a large city that I'm not unhappy with at the moment), then watching the TV until 6:45. I had considered going back to bed before work, but I was afraid I'd never get any parking spot, so I just went to school instead.
At the moment, I'm pretty tired. I'm supposed to meet my friend Dave at 2:00 for Lunch. I imagine I'll go take a nap right afterwards.
So, all in all, it's been a busy but good week.
I love you, my Kristen.
Can't wait to see you Friday :)
