That's the sound of a screaming pixie when he makes two mistakes:
1) Burns a bunch of MP3s onto Cheapie CompUSA discs that he got, 50 for $10
2) Having burned the MP3s properly, erased the MP3s before making sure the disc came out.
So I bet you can guess how my day started.
I burned the first CD, the one with all my FAVORITE songs last night as I slept. Woke up, tossed the old ones.. to find out that the CD was unreadable by my drives! And since I just tossed out the entire folder, it was a permanent delete.
Luckily (and this IS lucky), I did get the CD to cought back up about 2/3 of them onto a drive so that I can reburn on a Not-Cheapie CD, but I have to scrounge around for the missing ones. Some I had on disc. Others I downloaded. Luckily, I nearly got all the missing CDs (Boy, am I glad I posted the list to LJ!), but some of them are proving elusive as of yet.
Like a good version of "One Night in Bangkok". But I'll get it. Yes, I will.
And then I'll burn this CD and everything will be good. Honestly.
*shakes his head*

In other news, I went to go get ink and brought a picture of what the printer was doing. they took a look at the picture and said "It's not the ink." Luckily, I bought a 2 year replacement policy on the printer, so I got me a brand new printer. I used the $100 I spent on that printer and put it on a $200 HP 960. It's printer proper-like and no streaking, so.. yay! I got another 2 year warranty on it too, just in case.

What else? We're probably going to see "Sum of All Fears" tonite.

Other than that, just catching up with my own stupidity.
Ciao, folksies y folksitas.
