Great opportunity to work for a leading local environmental firm that does a
tremendous amount of wetlands work in the area! There is little to NO travel
for this position and a high level of exposure at the national policy level
for this field. This firm has three of their own wetlands banks.

Location: Chantilly, VA
Duration: Permanent

We need an entry- to mid-level civil engineer interested in environmental
sciences. Projects include: wetlands mitigation design, stormwater wetlands
systems, stream restoration and floodplain studies. Ideal candidates will
have from 0 to 2 years experience, EIT, and knowledge of AutoCad, Land
Development Desktop, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, and TR-55. Traditional land development
experience is acceptable for candidates wanting to apply skills to wetlands
and water resources.

Please give me a call.

I contacted him, of course. Sent him my resume. So now we'll wait and see what happens.
Lordy, I just wrapped my head around living in Philadelphia. To even contemplate living in Virginia is vaguely mind-blowing. Nerr.
Still... it sounds like interesting work and a job is a job, right?
So... we'll see what we'll see

*laughs* Given that Virginia is the one place we're considering leaving Rochester for... that's pretty ironic.

Looks like it's pretty close to DC. That'd put you near Kirielle. I guess I shouldn't say "too bad it's not in the mountains." They're gorgeous, but they're much further.

Hehee, you'll be moving to my old stomping grounds :)

I lived in Herdon, VA for about 7 years when it was a brand new community and my mom worked at Chantilly High School.

I've been told it's very different now compared to when I was there, but still beautiful. Skiing not too far away, either :) And DC is the land of the free fun! Lots to do if you don't want to spend. But maybe I'm just obsessed with the Smithsonian... ;)
