First pretty good night in new apartment

Last night was... pretty good.
Got out of work and... the part of my car that stops my car from getting out of Park.. the one I had trouble with when I first got into Maryland? it's acting up again. So I'm going to take it to the same Ford soon and tell them and get them to fix it.
Got home, was hungry so made myself a box of Rice-a-Roni.. and it actually turned out OK. Woo for my first time cooking. While I was making dinner, I called Comcast and tried to set up cable, but I'll need to call them back today and reschedule them coming over. I'd originally set it up for Thursday before the TV was here, but I think I'll try for Monday when the TV is here.
Just need to clear this through my boss since Comcast needs both me and the rental office to be here so I'd need to take a couple of hours off work. :p
Did that. Got online for a couple of hours and talked to (in no particular order): My Cousin Freddie,
dawnstar,
marksmith and
jariel for a couple of hours on AIM and ChaoticMUX and I finally caught up with
xeren and made plans for Wednesday night. Woot.
Then I got off the internet about 9:00, called my mom, talked to Kristen and then went to sleep..
.. and I slept. At least until about 4:30 and I'm pretty sure I woke up not because of any of the neighbors or anything but just because the fucking air mattress is not particularly comfortable.
Woke up at 6:30.. still do feel sorta tired.. but I'm at work now, at least.
Unfortunately, I'm feeling down again, though I'm not really certain why. I suspect I just miss my home and stuff.
So... work til 5 or 5:15 (got into work late because of the traffic on Powder Mill Road. If it seems to usually be this bad, I'll need to consider an altnernate way to work, go home.. make dinner.. get back online for a while.. call people (I need to call
kareila before April 1st) and go to bed again.
This'll all still be easier when I have my real stuff with me and my cats and, like, a real bed or something.

Date: 2004-03-30 01:58 pm (UTC)I will say that it gets easier (even though you may not be sleeping on the one you have long enough to get to that point", but make sure you have it really pumped up. One thing that really helped me is a body pillow so I could lay half on it and be at a 45 degreeish angle instead of flat on my stomach. I can't lay flat on air mattresses--support in all the wrong places :p
