You know, I had some high hopes for yesterday.
I had hopes that Rudy Giulinai, who may be an asshole and may have the moral compass problem like Clinton, but did good things for New York.. I had hopes he wouldn't stand rock solid for George Bush.
I had hopes that John McCain, the one person who can make both Kerry and Bush quake.. I had hopes that he wouldn't stand rock solid behind Bush.
But they have.
God bless the U.S.A. :p
(And for god's sake, Kerry, could you PLEASE get your act together now? It's about 60 days! No more excuses! Let's go! Get your ass in high gear and remind everyone why they need to vote for you!)

Based on where they stand on a number of issues, I would be fairly interested in a combined ticket there.
Though I also have my suspicions that Jeb Bush will run that year too, trying to continue the dynasty.
As for the Democrats... I think if Kerry loses, he'll likely be too burned out to try again in '08. I've heard that Hillary's considering a run, and I wouldn't be surprised to see either Edwards or Dean take a stab at it.
Nader will probably run again, either Reform or independent, since I don't think his ego would let him avoid it.
Honestly, I've heard so much wrangling that nothing would really surprise me at this point. Neither side is really impressing me at all any more, and I'd love to see the entire electorate say 'screw you both, I'm voting Green'. Not that I think Cobb's that great of a candidate, but it would give the system a long-needed shake-up.
