I considered being evil and writing a short post about how yesterday had been "OK" and ecwoodburn had been "OK"
But I think in retrospect, I'd rather tell the truth here so I can recall.
Yesterday I met ecwoodburn for the first time. We met at 4:00, headed off to IHOP and talked for two hours, wandered off to the AMC Maple Ridge Theatre and saw X2 (Woo! Fourth Time! Heh! At least it wasn't Two Towers. I'm not sure I could have sat through that one in the theatres again.)
Then we want back to my house, and hung out here for a couple hours.
It was really good. I really had a fun time.
I'm already plotting my next chance to come up to Rochester and see her. :)

The only other thing I feel the need to say is to mention how long it's been since I've been "dating". God, the last girl was peachtess. That's a long time for someone like me who loves and desires physical contact (sorry, kareila. I love you too, but the occasional hug from you, while very nice is not QUITE what I had in mind ;) )
Anyways..

By the way, dawnstar, kolys, ecwoodburn and (if you can) trillain, What about trying to go to Darien Lake on Saturday July 5th or Saturday July 12th? Which is better for y'all? :)
EDIT: Nevermind. This may just be too much too soon. Maybe we'll try at the beginning of August? (Perhaps pencil in Saturday August 2nd? :) )

So my schedule for the week (for my own benefit really)
Tuesday Night - Environmental Book Meeting
Thursday Night - Roleplaying with Todd and Scott
Friday - Harry Potter V!!
Saturday - Day I'm currently trying to put aside to go to to Rochester
Sunday - Perhaps first beach day of the summer
and, of course, in the longview.. Sunday, June 29th - Weird Al Concert! *bounces around excitedly*

Let me get back to you, re: Darien Lake. Both of those weekends have plusses and minuses to them. I'm thinking possibly the 5th might be better, but kolys and I will talk it over when we're more awake and get back to you later (within a couple of days, at most). Do we know anyone else who doesn't like rollercoasters, btw?

After may be a bit easier, if only because that has already shaped up to be a busy week for us. We are planning to come up that Thursday for the TMBG show, and then the Dork-A-Thon. So adding one more big event the weekend prior sounds a little overwhelming.

Is that a huge pain?

Also, I don't know what yours and Kristen's plans are for saturday, but you're welcome to stop by our place if you'd like. You can come and meet Dweezil. :)

Gak. Will be in Buffalo for the 4th with family (wanna go with, or not ready to be subjectd to the extended family yet?), but I've got a wedding in Brockport on the 5th. (Sadly, I had to RSVP for that a few weeks ago.)

Also, I have my own plans for the fourth with half of my extended family (My mother's side. My grandmother owns a cottage in Fort Erie. We go there on Sundays when the weather is nice and on July 4th)

I dunno, sometimes they're really cool and other times they drive me up a wall. They do mean well, there are just some people (like my mom) with whom I have a fundamentally different value system. But since you have other plans...another time. s:) I tend to come out for family stuff more frequently during the summer as it is, so lack of opportunity shouldn't be an issue.
