OK, I'm furious. I never got my chicken wings. 3 hours I waited and they never came!
Well.. let me start the story from scratch. I called at about 7:00 PM La Nova's and said "Yes, we'd like a double order of your BBQ Chicken Wings" 2 hours delivery, they said (this place just opened and La Nova's is known hereabouts as having some of the best chicken fingers and chicken wings in Buffalo), so I say... fine 2 hours.
Now we'd just ordered chicken fingers a couple days ago and they said 1 1/2 hour delivery and it got here in 45 minutes to an hour.. so I figured that would happen again.
9:00 rolls around.. it's 2 hours. No wings.
9:30 rolls around, I get grumpy. I call La Nova's and say "Hey, what happened to our wings?" they take my phone number and put me on hold... while on hold, probably 10 minutes or so, I hear someone check the phone five or six times.. just for a second, then hung back up. This sounds to me like a check to see if I'm stubborn enough to STAY on hold. So I hang up FURIOUS at the service!
So I start calling in hope to get to a manager. FINALLY at 10:15 I get a hold of a manager who says 'Well, we were too busy today so not all the deliveries went out." So I ask "Well, why didn't you call us so we could have made other plans for dinner." and he's like "I'm sorry sir, I don't know what happened to your dinner."
HELLO! You don't DO that! Behavior like that loses you customers.. and as a guess from the number of calls there were as La Nova's was closing up at 10:00, I was not the only angry customer.
I mean, OK.. here's the contract, if you will, between a business and a customer. Customer chooses something to buy. Business delivers that something (ignoring things such as layaway which do not correspond to this situation), Customer BUYS something. Customer leaves.
You don't DO Customer chooses something to buy but business never delivers! That loses you business!
So, anyway, I'm not certain it'll make ANY difference, but I'm going to call back today and ask to talk to the manager. Not some dinky shift supervisor. The Manager. And I'm going to complain. Loudly.
And I'll tell him "If you can't be bothered to deliver my order, I'm one customer who won't bother to order from you anymore. And from the sounds of it, I'm not the only customer."
Great way to start a business. Lemme tell ya.

Nope. Got a hold of the manager the next day and complained. Dunno if anything came of it or not. I didn't get any special deals or half off wings or something, tho...
