Independence Day

It was pretty good, actually.
We did some cleaning and such before ecwoodburn arrived at 1:15.
Kristen arrived and we took a nice "romantic" (though I'm not actually certain what's romantic about mosquitoes and sweating due to heat) walk in the woods behind my house.
Came back and got ready to go to her aunt's house for the party.
We were there from 2:45 to ABOUT 7:00. Unfortunately, Kristen's family seems to be under the mistaken notion that I'm a nice and decent young man. Well, except for her cousin Julie who I scared with my perverted mind ;)
Got to playtest Fluxx, though.
I'm noticing a few different keepers and rules from the version dawnstar and kolys have, which is kinda neat.
We would have tried Chez Geek.. but I forgot to bring six-sided randomizers. I will need to remember to correct for that in the future.
Went home after dinner.. no offense to ecwoodburn because her family seems cool, but it's no fun when the only ones left are the adults (if *1* more person asked me if I was from Rochester, I was going to hang a sign around my neck. Hi, I'm Howard. I'm from Amherst (that's NY, not MA) ) and the young kids... well it wasn't, at all times, fun anyways. I imagine it would be that bad if not worse whenever ecwoodburn meets the Perlsteins (the side of the family I do talk to).
Though.. there are less of us.
Came home at 7:00.. watched Barelaked Nadies (She hadn't seen these videos. Gasp!) for two hours, were altogether too cutesy in front of Josh, went outside to set chairs up about 9:40.. Fireworks started just after 10:00 and lasted till about 10:35
Then after much thinking about, we finally convinced ecwoodburn to crash on the first floor.
If she's not up before, we'll wake her up about 9:00, feed her, bathe her if she likes.. and sends her on her happy way towards Rochester so she can go to that wedding and we can.. either nap or go to the beach (depending on the weather)
And that was my day.
